NO Adsense = Fighting (MFA) Spam Sites, Spam Blogs & Cleaner Search Results

Most of us make a living from Google's (GOOG) Adsense, so I understand if you reside within this majority. If I had to, I would also... Notice, my blog is hosted by Google, as well as my email, site analytics, online photos, videos and the list goes on...

Now, I risk getting punched by my friends for even mentioning such a horrible thing since a lot of SEO's are directly responsible for polluting the search results with MFA (Made for Adsense) sites, Splogs and spam of all sorts.

Unfortunately, you might have noticed how search results are being cluttered with garbage. Finding what we are looking for appears to actually be getting harder due to the sea of spam sites.

So, in the grand tradition of the "No no-follow" community, I hearby present: the No Adsense Community

Google's mismanagement of this programs has propelled it to be the driving force behind spam in my opinion, based on observations.

So if anyone out there agrees, please join: No Adsense

I've actually completely removed adsense from my site. During the same time period as when my podcast made $2000 from increased traffic and CPM deals, my website made $7.50 from adsense.

I'm now with project wonderful. It's somewhat better.

Wow Mark, I did think they were falling behind in their ability to display rich-media and video ads.

Also, coupled with the idea that people are getting desensitized to adsense type ads and how it pollutes the search results, its now wonder.

Adsense still works for me and brings home the bigger part of my online earnings. And I don't do MFA sites. Not sure this community can make any difference - may be for those who are banned from Adsense already...

I do not really have to plead the case because more and more people will get fed up of search results polluted with adsense sites.

And its Google's problem to fix, I can use another search engine

You know, I was just searching yesterday for "gas savers blog" on all three major engines. Google still was the best. It had two or three garbage sites on the first page, granted, but both yahoo and live had only two or three *relevant* sites on the first page. Worse, both had malware sites I had to kill to get rid of...

That being said, I do agree that google search results are deteriorating recently, and if they don't fix it, they come to the point when yahoo and live become better choices...

I agree that it is the lesser of the three evils, reminds me an analogy from "some book" which regards politicians as one beast with multiple heads.

Google's (GOOG) market cap should allow them to fix many problems bigger more important than just this one.

Search is what got them here, and it looks like they already forgot that.
